Academy of Medicine/Texas Medical Center Library
The
HAM-TMC Library's collection includes over 250,000 volumes of books
and bound periodicals. Currently, the Library subscribes to approximately
2700 journals.
Office
of Community and Educational Outreach
The Office of Community and Educational Outreach has evolved to
assist the medically underserved communities along the Texas-Mexico
Border and Greater Houston. The office provides daily management
of the Texas-Mexico Border Health Projects, works with The
Greater Houston AHEC in institutional-community collaborative
educational efforts, serves as a liasion among UTHSC-H Office of
Academic Affairs and
UT Medical School at Houston Family and Community Medicine,
UTHSC-H Administration, and other relevant persons and agencies
that have a community health and primary health care education focus.
International
Affairs
The Office of International Affairs is the only UTHSC-H source for
information regarding visas and other special requirements for the
admission of non-US citizens to UTHSC-H.
MD/PhD
Program (see
GSBS)
The formal MD/PhD Program provides an opportunity for outstanding
students with dedicated interests in academic medicine and biomedical
research to participate in an organized program leading to the MD
and PhD degrees. The program of study is flexible and tailored to
the interests and background of each student admitted to the Program.

of Outcomes Assessment and Biostatistical Services
"Institutional Research must be an integral part of the institutions
planning and evaluation process. They must be effective in collecting
and analyzing data and disseminating results. An institution must
regularly evaluate the effectiveness of its institutional research
process and use its findings for the improvement of it's process."
