Academic and Administrative Leadership Development Program

The Academic and Administrative Leadership Development Program (AALDP), formerly the Academic Leadership Development Program (ALDP), originated in 2005 with the addition of administrative fellows to the program. The former ALDP program was initally designed for senior faculty members to increase their knowledge of The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHSC-H) and to enhance the leadership and managment skills needed by academic administrators. Now the program is designed to include both senior faculty and administrative participants to increase their knowledge of UTHSC-H with emphasis on the enhancement of their leadership and management skills.

"...we will seek to develop in our institution and in our faculty, staff, and
students those qualities which will be critical in meeting the broad
challenges of the 21st century: collegiality, creativity, professionalism,
compassion, cultural sensitivity and a capacity for leadership."
