Academic
and Administrative Leadership Development Program
The
Academic and Administrative Leadership Development Program (AALDP),
formerly the Academic Leadership Development Program (ALDP), is
currently being reviewed and updated to include Administrative Fellows
to the program.
The former ALDP program was initially designed for senior faculty
members to increase their knowledge of The University of Texas Health
Science Center at Houston (UTHSC-H) and to enhance the leadership
and management skills needed by academic administrators. The new
AALDP program will be designed to include both senior faculty and
administrative participants to increase their knowledge of UTHSC-H
with emphasis on the enhancement of their leadership and management
skills. Please review the AALDP Fact Sheet
for more detailed information.
The
start of the new program will begin in Fall 2005 with the participant
selection process beginning in the spring of 2005. This site will
continue to be updated with new information as it becomes available
regarding the selection and criteria of faculty and administrative
participants. Please continue to check this website and watch for
any special announcements to the UTHSC-H community.
"...we
will seek to develop in our institution and in our faculty,
staff, and students those qualities which will be critical in
meeting the broad challenges of the 21st century: collegiality,
creativity, professionalism, compassion, cultural sensitivity
and a capacity for leadership."
