Hagberg Appointed Chair of Anesthesiology
Carin A. Hagberg, M.D., Joseph C. Gabel Professor and Chair of anesthesiology at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston, has been appointed chair of the Department of Anesthesiology. She has served as the interim department chair since January.
Residency Program
The goal of our Residency Program is to educate physicians in the fundamentals of anesthesia and its related disciplines. We aim to graduate broadly educated, well-rounded practitioners with the abilities and resources to enter with confidence any aspect of anesthetic practice.
Research
The Center for Clinical and Translational Sciences is now accepting applications for its 2007 Pilot Project Awards. The pilot funding is for new, unfunded, hypothesis-driven clinical and translational research.
Education
We accept applications for our specialized-year programs from qualified individuals who have completed three or more years of acceptable anesthesiology training.
