Volunteering Opportunities

Hands‐on Ultrasound Guided Regional Anesthesia Workshop for Anesthesiologists

The following volunteering opportunities are available

1. Volunteer as a demonstration subject for Hands-on Ultrasound Guided Regional Anesthesia Workshop for Anesthesiologists (Saturday: 07.30am – 01.30 pm) (Sunday: 08.30am to 04.00pm)
2. Volunteer to help the workshop coordinator at Registration Desk (Saturday: 06.30am – 05.30 pm) (Sunday: 06.30am to 04.00pm)
3. Volunteer to dissect the cadaver upper & lower limb peripheral nerves anatomy which will be used for workshop teaching. Available only for medical students and residents

All volunteers will be rewarded with:

1. A gift card/check based on the type of volunteering
2. A certificate of volunteering to enhance your CV from the Course Director & Workshop Coordinator, The University of Texas Medical School at Houston
3. A letter will be sent to your principal/councilor to let them know about your participation in our educational activity, which may help to obtain credit for volunteered hours
4. Breakfast, lunch, and free parking will be provided

Who can volunteer?

1. Medical Students interested in the field of anesthesiology, pain management, and/or ultrasound
2. College Students who are interested in getting exposure to medical field and develop contacts with academic/private practice anesthesiologists
3. Nursing students and students perusing a career in nursing
4. High School Students interested in knowing more about the human body and wanting exposure to the medical field
5. Any student looking for volunteer hours
6. Primary school children who want to act as a medical model on the stage (with parental consent)
