Research Experience

  • “Does training in stress coping along with artificial stress exposure improve performance of emergency airway management under realistic stressful conditions?”
    Supervisor: Jeffrey Taekman, MD (Duke University Medical Center)
    This is a project that will utilize high-fidelity human patient simulation. Observational descriptive data has been collected. Abstract is pending.
  • “Tracheal intubation in the post-anesthesia care unit: A retrospective review of contributing factors and outcomes”
    Supervisor: Sanjeev Chhangani, MD, MBA (University of Rochester Medical Center)
    This was a chart review of all reintubations that occurred in post-anesthesia care unit patients at Strong Memorial Hospital (University of Rochester) over a 24 month period. I presented a poster showing my results at the New York State Society of Anesthesiologists Residents and Fellows meeting hosted by the State University of New York Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York in May 2008.
