Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology
There will be a brief orientation to the simulation equipment and then participants will partake in a series of simulated events during a guided approach of 6–8 hours of instruction. These events will include significant CRM hemodynamic instability, significant hypoxemia, and other difficult patient care situations. Teamwork and communication will be key during these events. Each TRM participant will be required to take a turn in the “hot seat” as the main decision maker for a minimum of one simulation event during the class. The other participants will fill in as other roles as needed. After each case, there will be time allotted for debriefing. This is the only time that the performance of participants will be discussed. The course is for experiential learning in order to stimulate improvement. There is no grade assigned, nor is there a formal evaluation given.
- Simulation aimed at enhancing clinical skills and patient safety for the participants

Please click here to register. If the course is already full for that day, you will be placed on a waitlist. Participants rarely cancel, so if you are placed onto a waitlist, we would like to suggest that you also register for another date. You will only be charged for the day in which you participate.
