Residency

The goal of our Residency Program is to educate physicians in the fundamentals of anesthesia and its related disciplines.


The goal of our Residency Program is to educate physicians in the fundamentals of anesthesia and its related disciplines. We aim to graduate broadly educated, well-rounded practitioners with the abilities and resources to enter with confidence any aspect of anesthetic practice they choose.

Applications for PGY-1 and PGY-2 positions are made through ERAS. Applications for other positions can be made by printing and completing the application. For information on how to obtain residency application, please call us at 713.500.6200.

  • ASA Resident/Fellow research essay contest (deadline April 2)
    View page 19 of the February ASA newsletter for details. Of note, the essay can be submitted within one year of graduation and reflects a bona fide research project—not case report(s)—and includes work done as a medical student.
