ABSTRACT
The Emirates is a very young country as the Federation of the United Arab Emirates [UAE] was established only in 1971. During the past quarter of a century, educational institutions both in the government and private sectors have mushroomed throughout the country. A number of these institutions train health care professionals such as doctors, nurses, dentists and laboratory technicians. The importance of physiology education and research has been acknowledged by the Ministry of Health and Education by establishing physiology departments in the Medical, Dental, Nursing and Science colleges in the country
