2010 Mission Connect Annual Research Symposium
Eric LeFebvre, CeTIR Research Preceptee, won Best Poster: Traumatic Brain Injury at the 2010 Mission Connect Annual Research Symposium, Student and Fellow Poster Competition. Eric's faculty sponsor is Dr. John Holcomb. The poster was entitled, "The Impact of Coagulopathy on Time to Placement of Intracranial Pressure Monitors in Brain Injured Patients."
UTHealth and Memorial Hermann to research treatments for battlefield limb injuries
The United States Department of Defense provided initial funding for the creation of the Major Extremity Trauma Research Consortium in 2009 to generate research needed to establish treatment guidelines for the optimal care of wounded soldiers.
