NovoSeven database

Novo Nordisk is pleased to announce that the database from the randomized controlled trial of NovoSeven® [CONTROL] in traumatic hemorrhage (Hauser CJ et al. J.Trauma. 2010;69(3):489-500) is available to the global clinical community for academic research.  The Trauma Audit & Research Network (TARN) at the University of Manchester, UK holds a copy of the database and will perform statistical analyses in response to research proposals submitted to TARN.  This will allow the trial data to be used to address crucial clinical questions concerning critically injured patients.

Novo Nordisk has decided to make the CONTROL data available since trauma represents 10% of all deaths globally and is the leading cause of death in persons below 40 years of age.  Clinical investigators wishing to learn more about submitting research proposals to query the database should contact the TARN Executive Director, Ms. Maralyn Woodford [maralyn.woodford@manchester.ac.uk].
