Cognitive and Affective Changes in Later Life

Course Description:
This course will cover changes in cognitive abilities and personality with aging, and how they are measured.  Differences in theories of cognitive aging will be explored, including speed-of-processing changes, the frontal aging hypothesis, and the executive function aging hypothesis.  The relationship between depression and cognitive ability with aging will be emphasized.
