Given
that a great number of the terms used in the Neurosciences in general and
Neuropsychology in particular are of Greek origin, we are planning to
offer a Greek language course during the summer school. The course will
include instruction in the etymology of terms of Greek origin that are
commonly used in the areas of "memory" and "amnesia" as well as instruction
in the conversational modern Greek. The course will be tought during
the late afternoon hours (2 to 3 times a week) by Marina Tzakosta (M.A. in
General Linguistics, University of Crete, Greece) who is currently a third
year Ph.D. student in the Department of Linguistics of the University of
Leiden/ Holland Institute of Generative Linguistics, The Netherlands. Those
interested in it, please indicate your interest in the appropriate section
of the application form.
