"I found the concept and the objective
of the Summer Institute of high scientific value and relevance. The organization
of the Summer Institute was excellent in a nice and friendly environment supporting
the teaching process and the social relations between the participants, be
it teachers or students. The students were highly interested, motivated, and
participated actively in the classroom. Opportunities for closer collaboration
with them were ample."
- Anastasia Efklides, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki,
Greece
"Given my nearly 20 years of participation in the International Neuropsychological
Society, I cannot recall any activity more befitting of the term 'International.'
In my estimation, the institute's mission to bring together faculty and students
from around the world for a concentrated period of study was not only achieved,
it was immeasurably exceeded. This was an unparalleled opportunity for
students of neuropsychology to learn and interact with faculty with whom they
might not otherwise have access in the idyllic setting of Xylocastro, Greece.
Thank you so very much for inviting me to participate in this wonderful
program, thank you to Dr. Papanicolaou for envisioning and creating the institute,
and thank you to the Vivian L. Smith Foundation for supporting this wonderful
program."
- Mark Bondi, University of California, San Diego, USA
"We had a great month with the students.
Thank you for this opportunity."
- Marios Constantinou, Intercollege, Cyprus
"I must say that it was one of the most positive experiences I have had in
recent years. What has made the Summer Institute such a success is
the students. The idea that there is a programme that can attract students
from all over the world interested in delving into the mysteries of the brain
and ways of helping those who suffer from brain related disorders is simply
fantastic."
- Faraneh Vargha-Khadem, Institute of Child Health, England
