LUNCH - catered in the conference site
EXCURSION – An excursion to Mycenae,
Nafplion and Edidauros is being planned for the evening.
The
Acropolis of Mycenae offers a commanding view of the valley and sea
beyond, and is entered through
the Lion Gate,
the oldest example of monumental sculpture in Europe. Inside the fortress walls archaeologists have uncovered
the original palace complex, the royal graves, and a number of
houses, sanctuaries and other buildings.
The town of Nafplion is
one of the loveliest towns in all of Greece with an old section known for
its neoclassical houses with wooden balconies, picturesque streets,
the Constitution
Square and innumerable outdoor cafes.
Finally, the theatre of Epidauros is the most famous and best
preserved of all the ancient theatres inGreece.
Made of lime stone, the theatre seats 14,000 people and
still used for performances today.

of the trip from
the airport to Central Station is approximately 30 minutes and from
Central
Station to Xylocastro is approximately another hour. There are 8
scheduled
times for the train to Xylocastro 6:29, 8:47, 10:04, 11:47, 12:27,

to Kifissos Coach Station (€2.90) where you will catch the bus to
Xylocastro (€8.90). Buses to Xylocastro leave every one hour.
The taxi fare from the airport to both stations mentioned above is
