Here's a case example.

Alma C. is a 64 year old woman with osteoporosis and atherosclerotic heart disease. Her calcium intake is adequate as she loves to drink milk and enjoys all kinds of dairy products on a daily bsketch of Almaasis. Alma's serum total cholesterol level is 237 mg/dl. The problem is that Alma prefers whole milk, cream, and butter. What would be the best method to help Alma change to low fat dairy products to help decrease her saturated fat intake and keep her calcium intake at an optimal level? Click on the answer you think is correct to get immediate feedback.

Ok, now that Alma has agreed to switch to 2% milk and milk products, a timetable for progress needs to be set up. Alma needs concrete goals to work toward with this change. Again, this timetable should be negotiated with the patient. Pushing too hard often meets with resistance and relapse.
