As the first integrated department between the MD Anderson Cancer Center (MDACC) and The University of Texas Health Science Center-Houston Medical School, the Department of Dermatology is the premier center for dermatologic care for UTHSC and MDACC.

Conditions Treated

Common skin conditions (acne, rosacea, eczema), as well as rare and challenging skin disorders, are treated by the Department of Dermatology faculty. Our physicians have special expertise and the department is a recognized referral center for a number of conditions.

Research

The Department of Dermatology faculty are at the forefront of research into the causes and treatments of skin diseases.

Education

The Department of Dermatology enhances the education of undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate students and trainees by providing a variety of clinical rotations in both inpatient and outpatients settings.
