Publishing Options
The following publishing options are available: 
  • Free access to everyone (perpetual or time limited)
  • Free access to restricted sets of nodes (perpetual or time limited)
    • only U.T. Houston nodes
    • specific IP address
    • password/cookie authorization
    • X.509 Certified Public Key (digital ID) authorization
  • Single, lifetime license fee (individual or group)
  • Periodic license fee (individual or group)
  • Single use access fee (individual or group)
The actual option(s) selected will depend on the publishing agreement made between the University and the copyright owners. (Note: in most cases the University is likely to be a joint owner of educational material and other scholarly works created by faculty.) It is strongly recommended that faculty members enter into an intellectual property agreement with the University prior to beginning development of any scholarly work.
