Unsponsored Charity Care 2003
Note:
The Legislative Budget Board defines “unsponsored charity
care” as
unreimbursed costs for services to the financially or medically indigent.
This definition does not include the costs of contractual adjustments
for Medicare or commercial insurance contracts or bad debts for uncollected
billed charges to patients who do not qualify for unsponsored charity
care.
