• Students participate in clinical training at over 200 affiliated sites across the Houston metropolitan area and across Texas.
• 946 students received degrees from UTHSC-H and began careers as health professionals and biomedical scientists.
• UTHSC-H researchers conducted research expending $154.3 million in sponsored research dollars and submitted 1,267 proposals for new research funding.
• UTHSC-H research funding ranked 62nd out of the 532 institutions across the nation receiving funds from the National Institutes of Health (2004).
• UTHSC-H clinicians trained 700 medical and dental residents as they delivered care in more than 60 outpatient and inpatient sites, reflecting more than 1,000,000 patient encounters.
