The Postgraduate School of Dentistry is composed of three types of students:
postgraduate, graduate and resident.
A postgraduate student is a dentist registering and paying tuition and fees for courses leading to a certificate in a dental specialty area.
A graduate student is a dentist registering and paying tuition and fees for courses leading to a master of science degree and a certificate in a dental specialty area.
A resident is a dentist who receives training in a specialty area, is paid a stipend, and receives a certificate of completion. Residencies are available in dental public health, advanced education in general dentistry, general practice and oral and maxillofacial surgery.
