The Office of Academic Affairs is pleased to introduce the fifteenth edition of The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston’s annual Fact Book. As with previous editions, there are a few data-related caveats.
Fact Book 2009 covers fiscal years 1999 through 2008 wherever possible and appropriate. Titles and data headers will clearly indicate the time frames that follow. Some student, faculty, employee, and budget tables reflect FY 2009 data as it is available and timely. Text sections and organizational charts reflect most current information available as of press time.
Fact Book 2009 is disseminated primarily to an internal audience of academic and managerial administrators and faculty. Our primary aim has always been to compile useful and interesting information about the university in a format that provides historical context and lends itself to trend analysis for the use and convenience of administrators, faculty and staff.
