Benefits... Life Insurance

The University of Texas System offers life insurance coverage through Fort Dearborn Life Insurance and its subsidiary, Life Insurance Company of North America. A Basic Life Plain of $10,000 is provided to all employees enrolled in medical coverage, at no cost. In addition to the basic benefit provided by The University, employees can purchase between 1 to 6 times their annual salary through the Voluntary Term Life benefit.

Employees who wish to increase their coverage amounts during the plan year as a result of a status change must complete an Evidence of Insurability (EOI) form.
