Legislative Appropriations Request

The Legislative Appropriations Request (LAR) is prepared and submitted to the Legislative Budget Board (LBB) every two years for the next biennium. The LBB, a permanent joint committee of the Texas Legislature, develops recommendations for legislative appropriations for all agencies of state government and presents those recommendations to the Texas State Legislature.
