To apply to our M.D./Ph.D. program, you must complete the AMCAS application and the short secondary application, which can also be found at http://med.uth.tmc.edu/administration/admissions/combined-degrees.html.

If you would like to considered for admission to the M.D.-only program as well as the M.D./Ph.D. program, you must submit both the AMCAS application and the TMDSAS application. In this case, the TMDSAS application replaces your secondary application.

In short, a complete U.T.-Houston M.D./Ph.D. Program application must include the following:

• A complete AMCAS application plus secondary application
(To be considered for the M.D./Ph.D. program only).

• Complete AMCAS and TMDSAS applications
(To be considered for both the M.D. and M.D./Ph.D. programs separately).

• Three letters of recommendation. One research-specific letter of recommendation, in addition to the letters required to complete your TMDSAS application (2 letters). If applying through AMCAS only, a total of three letters are required including a research-specific recommendation.

Applicants should send copies of their letters of recommendation directly to AMCAS.

Applications will not be reviewed until all components have been received and processed.
