Owen Witte, professor of microbiology, immunology and molecular genetics at Howard Hughes Medical Institute at the University of California, Los Angeles, will lecture on
Lymphocyte Growth Regulation
Witte is interested in the development of the immune response and growth regulation of hematopoietic cells by tyrosine kinases and other pathways. He has recently begun to study mechanisms of metastasis of epithelial cancers to the bone marrow.
