The Dean of the UTHSC-Medical School at Houston has provided up to ten scholarships to recognize GSBS students who have achieved distinction in biomedical research.
Eligibility: This award is open to GSBS students with advisors who are members of the Medical School Faculty.
- These $2,500 scholarships are considered supplements to the standard GRA stipend.
- Students must have successfully advanced to Ph.D. candidacy prior to the application deadline (June 4, 2012).
- Students must not have received this award in prior years.
- The Medical School Graduate Student Education Committee (GSEC) will review the applications and select the awardees.
- Awardees will be expected to give 10 min presentations of their research followed by a 5 minute question and answer period at the Dean's Research Scholarship Awards and Welcoming Ceremony on September 14, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
