Rebecca Lunstroth, JD, MA
Rebecca Lunstroth is the Assistant Director of the McGovern Center for Humanities and Ethics, where she serves as an instructor in Family Medicine and Community Medicine, and co-directs the second-year course, Ethics and Professionalism in Medicine, and the Medical Humanities and Ethics Certificate Program. She frequently lectures on the U.S. health care system, justice, and legal and ethical issues in health care, particularly how health care can be accessed and delivered more efficiently and to what extent, we, as individuals, should shoulder the costs and burdens of this system.
Ms. Lunstroth earned a B.A. in Economics from Indiana University, a J.D. from South Texas College of Law, and an M.A. in Medical Humanities from The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. Prior to joining UTHealth, she held leadership positions in human resources, operations management, and health and safety at Shell Oil Company.
