Program Student Recently Featured in Paper

A former student who has also participated in the Medical Humanities and Ethics Program, Kara Beatty, was recently featured in the Houston Chronicle. The paper profiled Kara and presented her story of how she chose to study medicine and what Match Day means to her. As a participate in the Center's program, Kara also earns special designation as a Medical Humanities Scholar.

Along with her fellow program students, Kara recently presented at the Program's first-ever Poster Symposium, held on March 27. The poster presentation featured graduating students' thesis projects. At the event, Kara was also interviewed by local Channel 13 news, an ABC network affiliate.
