Dr. Nathan Carlin to Present at Medical Speaker Conference

Rice University's Second Annual Medical Speaker Conference will be held on Saturday, February 8 in McMurtry Auditorium in Duncan Hall. The theme for this year's conference is "A Boon or Burden?: The Role of Technology for the Modern Doctor," and will feature presentations such as "Doctors, technology, and the moral obligation to offer the digital touch," by Dr. Bryan Vartabedian and Dr. John Joe's, "A Decade of Healthcare IT: No Pain, No Gain?". Center faculty member, Dr. Nathan Carlin will present, "Doctors and Dr. Seuss: A Case Study for Medical Humanities." The conference, presented by the Rice Pre-Medical Society, is open to the public although registration is required through webform.
