Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP)

A Quality Enhancement Plan, or QEP, is intended to enhance student learning in some significant and measurable way, and often builds on existing or emerging efforts within colleges or schools. Our institution's QEP—"Beyond Silos: Enhancing Ethics Education in and across the Health Professions"—builds on the Campus-Wide Ethics Program (CWEP), directed by Dr. Jeffrey Spike. The QEP brings together faculty, students, and administrators from the six schools of UTHealth to work together on interprofessional ethics education. The McGovern Center is responsible for carrying out UTHealth's QEP.

"Beyond Silos: Enhancing Ethics Education In and Across the Health Professions" is an unpublished university document. This document was submitted as the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools as part of the re-affirmation of accreditation process of The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) in 2010.
