Frequently Asked Questions
about SVP

Q: How do I get Sacred Vocation implemented at my organization?

A: The first step is to contact the Project Director, Marijane deTranaltes at (713) 500-5965. She will ask you a series of questions to help us better understand your organization and how we can help nurture change in your workplace.

Q: How can I become a Sacred Vocation Program facilitator

A: Once an organization has contracted to implement the Sacred Vocation Program, facilitator training is offered.  Training consists of a three day training course with the Sacred Vocation Co-Directors Professor Ben Amick and Rabbi Sam Karff.

Q: How is the Sacred Vocation Program different from other workplace interventions?

A: The Sacred Vocation Program is a unique workplace intervention. Many other workplace interventions encourage participants to realize that the organization’s goals are the same as employee’s goals. Using Sacred Vocation Partnership, the organizational goals of improved employee performance are accomplished by nurturing the spirit of the employee. We facilitate group discussions among employees, allowing them to become more aware that doing their best work makes them feel more committed to their work.
