The University of Texas System Faculty Advisory Committee

Interfaculty Council

The Interfaculty Council  (IFC) was established in 1981 as the representative body of the faculty of all the schools to the President. Ex officio members serve as non-voting members.  The IFC acts in an advisory capacity to the President on issues related to:
      • faculty governance and academic affairs
      • faculty status, rights and responsibilities
      • administrative affairs

The IFC, by way of its relationship to the individual faculty governance organizations in each of the schools, is a conduit through which you can communicate with the university administration on matters of importance to all faculty.  Much of its work is done through its subcommittees.
