Nanjing Medical University, China
The Office of International Programs welcomed a delegation from Nanjing Medical University, China on May 26, 2005. The delegation consisted of Qi Chen, PhD (president of Nanjing Medical University), Xianqing Kong, MD (vice-dean, First Clinical Medical School), Jianwei Zhou, MD, PhD (dean of the School of Public Health), Changliang Zhu, PhD (dean of the School of Basic Medical Sciences), and Binjiang Wu.
President Chen and President James T. Willerson signed an Agreement of Cooperation between UTHSC-H and Nanjing Medical University.
During the full-day visit, the delegation met with Jiajie Zhang, PhD (associate dean for research at the School of Health Information Sciences), Maximilian Buja, MD (executive vice president of academic affairs), Ms. Kathy Watson (director of the Communications Department at the Texas Heart Institute), Stanley Schultz, MD (dean of the Medical School) and George Stancel, PhD (dean of the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences). They also visited the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Yong-Jian Geng, MD, PhD made the connection for the delegation to visit UTHSC-H. |
