The Office of International Affairs (OIA) is a Service Department whose mission is to protect the integrity of The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston & The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center by complying with state, local, federal and international agency regulation. The Office of International Affairs is the only office designated by the institution(s) to process and sign immigration visa applications To this end, OIA is responsible for maintaining records on all non-U.S. Citizens who have been accepted to a program within our institution(s) and processing all non-immigrant and immigrant visa applications sponsored by the institution(s).

The OIA coordinates and administers programs that serve the non-U.S. citizen student, staff, trainee, faculty and patients of the institution(s) served. The OIA is located in the University Center Tower, 7000 Fannin, Suite 130, Houston, Texas 77030. Hours are Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. with the exception of Tuesdays when the Office is closed from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.
