Artist: Wes Hickey

Wes Hickey is a currently a fourth-year UT-Houston medical student from Friendswood, Texas. He received his undergraduate degree from Baylor University, where he studied bioinformatics and computer science. He is currently seeking a residency in internal medicine and ultimately wants to go into interventional cardiology. Wes' wife, Rebecca, is a child life specialist at Shriners Orthopedic Hospital. Wes' love for photography has stemmed from his opportunities to travel abroad serving on medical mission trips. His photography has been published on the cover of Baylor magazine twice. Photographs featured in "Inside Cuba" and "The River Wide" both provide inside looks at indigent life on the Amazon River and Havana, Cuba.
