Artist: Jeff Schultz
Jeff Schultz is the son of Dr. Stanley G. Schultz, former Dean of the UT Medical School at Houston, and has had a long history of involvement with the School. In the 1980's, Jeff helped his father and others with computer software projects associated with research on active transport and positron emission tomography. He holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with high honors from the University of Texas at Austin and is now a senior marketing executive at Parlano, a Chicago-based software company with worldwide operations.
Jeff has had a lifelong interest in photography, building his first darkroom in a spare bathroom when a teenager. He has always had a passion for landscape photography because he gets immense satisfaction from enabling his audience to experience unique aspects of magnificent locations. His favorite locations include Maine, Hawaii, Rome, and now Thailand.
Most recently, his photographic interests have revolved primarily around his wife Carol and daughter Kelly.
In addition to family and photography, Jeff is passionate about endurance running and triathlons. He has completed several marathons and half ironman triathlons and in September 2006 he achieved the distinction of completing the 140.3-mile Ironman Wisconsin.
