Artist: Anne Starr

I grew up in southwest Missouri close to Branson and attended Southwest Texas State University, in San Marcos, Texas. Music is a hobby, and I am an accomplished pianist and flutist. Currently I am the accompanist at my church for the worship service and the choir. I enjoy volunteering and have worked as a volunteer at the M. D. Anderson Gift Shop. After obtaining a camera at age 12, my photographic adventure began as an amateur photographer. My camera is usually close by in case there’s an occasion to snap a picture, whether it be of friends, family, co-workers, an event, nature, sunrises, sunsets, shapes, architecture, sculptures, fountains, skylines, something unusual or funny, etc.

Traveling is another hobby. Places of interest I’ve been to within the United States include Yosemite, the Grand Canyon, Mt. Rushmore, Monahan Sand Dunes, Rocky Mountains, Great Smoky Mountains, Carlsbad Caverns, Niagara Falls, San Francisco, New York City, Washington, D.C., New Orleans, Philadelphia, Atlantic City, Las Vegas, Chicago, Kansas City, St. Louis, Santa Fe, Mississippi River riverboat cruise, and Flint Hills, Kansas on a covered wagon trip.
