Growth and development of the Medical School

I am surprised that the name of Ernst Knobil was not amongst those that contributed to the growth and development of the Medical School. With the exception of Cheves Smythe, I would say that Ernie probably had some of the biggest impact on the growth of the school.

The Printer Friendly Scoop

To whom it may concern:

My name is Alethea Drexler and I’m the archive assistant at the John P. McGovern Historical Research Center, HAM-TMC Library.

Is there a reason that “page 1” of the “printer friendly” Scoop is approximately three times as long as an actual printable page? Even if I reset the size, it prints as an long, skinny, miniature in the middle of a single sheet (since it’s technically one page) rather than in a usable form. Scoop is one of the publications that we archive in hardcopy form for later use and we would rather have the whole file be four pages long than have three-quarters of the newsletter be unreadable because it is squeezed onto one page.

Editors's Reply:

One of the reasons for the transition to an all web format is that we are no longer bound by the 8.5 x 11 inch page, and stories can be as long, or as many pages, as needed. But at a guess for your specific problem you might try checking your printer settings and seeing if "Scale to fit page" is checked anywhere in your preferences.
