The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences enhances the education of undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate students and trainees by providing an excellent variety of clinical rotations in both inpatient and outpatients settings.

Patient Care

The Department of Psychiatry, through the programs and services of the Mental Sciences Institute, strives to provide a model of academic psychiatric care.

Research

Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences faculty are at the forefront of research into the causes and treatments of mental illness, from the investigation of basic biological mechanisms to the development of new treatment methods.
