Course Description

This course will give an overview of the wide range of research being carried out in the GSBS Neuroscience Graduate Program, and is open to all first year graduate students. Through informal discussions with a different NSGP faculty member each week, students will gain an appreciation for some of the big ideas und unsolved questions in Neuroscience research, and become familiar with the experimental and theoretical approaches being used to tackle those questions.
This is a pass/fail course. Students who plan to join the Neuroscience program are strongly encouraged to register for this class. There are no exams and no reading assignments, but students are expected to attend all lectures and to actively participate in class discussions. Permission from the Course Director is required.
