Identity Verification Centers

Certification of Your Public Key

Once the on-line request for your digital ID is submitted, the certificate authority (CA) must verify that 
  • the public key being certified "belongs" explicitly to you, and 
  • that you generated the private/public key set. 
Thus, you must physically appear before a local registration authority administrator (LRAA) and present the following: 
  • UTHSC-Houston Identification Badge (required only for UTHSC-H personnel), and
  • a  government issued picture ID - examples:
  • Texas Driver's License
  • U. S. Passport
