Configuring Netscape Security:
SSL Ciphers

Staring Point

    One begins accessing any security setting by selecting the "Security Icon" on the "Navigation Toolbar" at the top of "Netscape Navigator". This Toolbar is illustrated in the following figure and the "Security Icon" is shaded red.

    Clicking on the "Security Icon", security icon, 
  • displays the "Security Info" page. Then,
  • click on the "Navigator" link.
  • The "Messenger" page appears (illustrated in the figure shown below).

  • Both the SSL v2 and SSL v3 configurations should be enabled (i.e., the red-shaded check boxes in the above figure).
  • The red-shaded buttons for each SSL version should be selected and the settings for each checked. Settings for SSL v2 and SSL v3 are shown in the following to figures:
