Overview

The Office of Academic Computing (OAC) provides four different configurations of Web servers. Selecting the appropriate server involves:

1. Determine the security classification of the Web content to be published.
2. Requesting Web site space (departmental or personal).
3. Designating who can publish to requested Web space.
4. Defining access restriction for viewing Web documents.

The following figure illustrates these four configurations. More specific information about each system, the enterprise directory service and middleware may be obtained by "clicking" the desired object in the illustration.
