128-bit
Browser Requirements
To insure the integrity and security of your data, this requires that
you use a browser that supports 128-bit "Strong" Encryption. You may not
have strong encryption, even if you have downloaded the most recent version
of the browser of your choice. Please select your browser from the following
list to find out if you need to upgrade your browser.
Internet Explorer
Netscape
AOL
If you have Internet Explorer:
Internet Explorer 5.5
If you are running Internet Explorer 5.5 on Windows 95, Windows 98, or
Windows NT 4.0, your browser has 128-bit encryption. However, if you are
running Windows 2000, installing Internet Explorer 5.5 will not change
the current level of encryption on your computer - you will need to install
Windows 2000 High Encryption Pack.
Internet Explorer 4 and 5
- Click Help in the Internet Explorer menu.
- Click About Internet Explorer.
- In the section marked "Cipher Strength" it will say 128-bit if you
have the 128-bit secure browser. If your browser does not support 128-bit
encryption, and you do not wish to upgrade your browser at this time,
you will need to install the
Microsoft Internet Explorer High Encryption Pack. If you want to
upgrade to the latest browser, please click
here.
Internet Explorer 3 and below
Unfortunately, these browsers offer no easy way to determine if you have
128-bit encryption. If you have one of these browsers, we encourage you
to install the most current version of this software by clicking
here.
Return to the top. If
you have Netscape:
Netscape Navigator for Windows
- Click Help in the Netscape Menu.
- Click About Netscape.
- In the section marked RSA Encryption, a sentence in bold describes
either US or International security. The US refers to 128-bit encryption.
If you have International security, you will need to upgrade your browser
to the latest version by clicking here.
Netscape Navigator for MAC
- Click Apple icon.
- Click About Netscape.
- In the section marked RSA Encryption, a sentence in bold describes
either US or International security. The US refers to 128-bit encryption.
If you have International security, you will need to upgrade your browser
to the latest version by clicking here.
Return to the top. If
you have AOL:
You can obtain the 128-bit browser from America Online by entering the
