Publishing via Windows Explorer

This method requires that you have already mapped a network drive to the OAC web server. If you have, you should see a shortcut to the server under both My Computer and My Network Places (also called Network Neighborhood in Win98). Double-click on the icons for My Computer or My Network Places.

Note: If you have not yet mapped a drive to the web server, click here for a tutorial.

In the My Computer window, the mapped drive will appear as seen below. Note that the drive letter assigned to it may be different on your computer.

In the My Network Places window, the mapped drive will appear as below:

It doesn't matter which window you choose, either will get you to the server the same way. Now, double-click the icon for the server. Your computer will attempt to connect to the server. (Note: you may be prompted to enter you login information first.) If successful, a window will appear displaying the root directory of the web server as seen below.

Scroll down to your specific folder. You can view the entire web server tree structure, but can only make changes to the directory to which your are assigned.

Next, open another Explorer window on your local computer where your web files are located. Simply drag and drop the files from the local folder to your specified folder on the server.
