After you create your Webspace account, you can view it using the following URL, which ends with your UTHSC-H UID:

https://webspace.uth.tmc.edu/your_uid

So if your UID (user I.D.) is jdoe, than your Webspace address will be:

https://webspace.uth.tmc.edu/jdoe

This is the root folder. At first, your root folder is empty except for two empty subdirectories, public and uth. Any files you put in the root folder will be viewable only by you, via login with your UTHSC-H UID and password.

To share content only with other on-campus users...
To share content with other on-campus users, you must place it in your uth folder. They will be prompted to enter their UTHSC-H UID and password.

https://webspace.uth.tmc.edu/jdoe/uth

To share content with the Internet...
To make your content "world-readable" (viewable by anyone on the Internet), you must place it in your public folder. Users will NOT be prompted for a login when attempting to view your public folder:

https://webspace.uth.tmc.edu/jdoe/public

DO NOT share your UID and password with others. Users are NOT allowed to edit the Webspace content of other users!
