The Department of Otorhinolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston
Department of Otorhinolaryngology

2011 Highlights

The year 2011 marked a great year for the Department in the domains of clinical care, education and research. In 2008, we established a new direction for the Department, and since then we have a built a full-spectrum otorhinolaryngology service with dedicated subspecialty expertise in audiology, facial plastic & reconstructive surgery, head & neck surgery, laryngology, otology, pediatric ENT, rhinology, and skull base surgery. Last year, the Department achieved a critical mass that was reflected in the Department’s clinical productivity, educational experiences and research output, and in 2011, that trend continued. Throughout this period, we have maintained our focus on the patient experience. For today’s patients, we strive to deliver quality, cost-effective care. In addition, we seek to develop the new knowledge that drives innovation while we share that knowledge with physicians, other healthcare professionals and the greater community.

In 2012, our mission will remain the same: we will provide clinical care, education and research as we strive to build the best healthcare experience in otorhinolaryngology.
