Skin lesion


A variety of skin lesions can be the cause, though timely evaluation by a physician is important as this can be a sign for skin cancer. Skin cancer is the most common type of cancer, and on the face it most commonly occurs on the nose or the ear. Cumulative damage secondary to sun damage is the most common cause. When discovered early it is very treatable with a variety of modalities, and the area of cancer can often be reconstructed by a facial plastic surgeon with very satisfactory aesthetic outcome.
