Research Intermediary

The CPHS has a research intermediary on staff who is available to assist UT investigators in the process of conveying information to prospective subjects about the research being done at UT. The research intermediary assists with making research protocols understandable to subjects in lay terminology.

Depending upon the research protocol, the IRB may require as a stipulation for approval, the use of the research intermediary prior to implementation of study procedures for human subjects. Although it may be mandated for some research protocols, anyone may utilize the services of the research intermediary program.

For further information about the Research Intermediary program please contact our office at cphs@uth.tmc.edu
